Job Description
Commercial Property Solicitor | Real Estate | Development & AgricultureYork | Hybrid Working | Associate / Senior Associate | £50,000–£70,000 DOE Commercial Property is changing. The firms standing still will get left behind. The most interesting work isn't coming from high street transactions or volume property teams. It's coming from ambitious businesses, developers, landowners and the sectors shaping the future of the region. QED Legal's client is investing heavily in exactly that. As part of a long-term growth strategy, they're looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to help expand their York office. This isn't a replacement hire—it's a genuine growth opportunity within a well-established firm that's continuing to invest in its people, technology and specialist legal services. The team acts for a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses, agricultural enterprises, developers, investors and renewable energy clients, advising on complex, commercially focused transactions rather than routine volume work. If you're looking for greater variety, stronger client relationships and the opportunity to influence a growing office, this role is well worth exploring. You'll advise on a broad range of Commercial Property and Real Estate matters, including:\n
- \n
- Commercial property acquisitions and disposals. \n
- Freehold and leasehold transactions. \n
- Commercial landlord and tenant matters. \n
- Development land acquisitions and disposals. \n
- Agricultural property transactions. \n
- Renewable energy projects and land agreements. \n
- Property finance and secured lending. \n
- Supporting corporate and commercial transactions involving property assets. \n
- Building long-term relationships with clients, agents and professional referrers. \n
- \n
- Qualified Solicitor with around 4+ years PQE (although strong candidates outside this range will be considered). \n
- Experience handling a broad Commercial Property or Real Estate caseload with minimal supervision. \n
- Exposure to development work, commercial leasing, agricultural property or renewable energy matters would be advantageous. \n
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills. \n
- Commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice. \n
- A genuine interest in developing client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the department. \n
- An existing client following would be welcomed but is by no means essential. \n
