Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a highly successful and dynamic company based in the Magherafelt Area who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on permanent, full-time basis.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance or accounts administration experience who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and growing business.
\nThe successful Accounts Assistant will work closely with the wider finance function, you will assist with a range of accounting and administrative duties, helping to ensure financial information is processed accurately and efficiently.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Assist with the daily operation of the finance department with a focus on accounts receivable transactions. \n
- Process and maintain financial transactions, including supplier invoices, customer invoicing, receipts and payments. \n
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies where required. \n
- Support banking activities, including account reconciliations and monitoring cash movements. \n
- Contribute to month-end reporting and finance procedures. \n
- Provide assistance with payroll-related administration. \n
- Support the preparation of VAT submissions and other compliance requirements. \n
- Maintain organised and accurate financial records. \n
- Assist in the production of management reports and financial information. \n
- Contribute to improvements in finance processes, systems and ways of working. \n
- Provide general administrative support to the wider finance team. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Strong accounts receivable experience \n
- Previous experience within accounts, finance, bookkeeping or finance administration. \n
- Strong numerical aptitude with good problem-solving skills. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. \n
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. \n
- Strong organisational and time management skills. \n
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop. \n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. \n
