Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Carpentar for our Corby based client on a temporary to permanent contract.Our client work alongside the most prestigious beauty, cosmetic and jewellery houses to design, manufacture and install point of purchase displays in department’s stores and airports throughout the UK. We are currently looking for highly skilled carpenters in POS/POP display to join our teamThey are looking to take on an experienced Carpenter ideally with knowledge of the retail display sector to join our team.Job purpose:To work within a professional, high- quality workshop building MDF and laminated units used in promotional displays.RequirementsKey responsibilities:Build MDF POS unitaryMust be able to laminateMust be able to read technical drawingsWill be required to have your own kitTo work to strict production deadlinesTo produce unitary with workshop machinery and hand tools to technical plans providedTo keep working area clear and tidy and free from hazardsTo help mentor/supervise carpentry apprentices and assist in widening their knowledge and skillsTo work within health and safety guidelinesTo support production manager and other carpenters where necessaryTo assist with on-site installation tasks where requiredTo complete all other reasonable tasks as necessaryQualifications/Requirements:Attention to detailGood timekeepingBe able to work on own initiativeTo have a flexible approach to bench workExtensive carpentry experienceWould be expected to have own hand toolsPositive attitudeBenefitsOvertime is payable at enhanced rates20 days holiday per year plus bank holidaysJob Type: Full-timePay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour, pay is negotiable based upon experienceWork Location: Corby on siteIf you feel that you have the relevant skills and experience please click apply and send a copy of your CV or for further information please call the team on .
