Warehouse Operative (Dispatch, picking & packing)

Location: Rochester

Contract: Permanent

Salary per annum: £24,784

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am-4:30pm

As a dispatch operative, you'll be a key part of our fulfilment operation — making sure customer orders are picked accurately, packed with care, and dispatched on time, every time. This is hands-on, fast-paced work that genuinely matters: every order you send out represents us to a customer.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Using handheld scanners to pick items accurately from the despatch room against customer orders.
\n
• Packing items securely and presentably, labelling correctly for despatch.
\n
• Retrieving stock from the warehouse, including lifting and moving boxes.
\n
• Keeping the workspace clean and organised — we all take ownership of our environment.
\n
• Supporting stock control and inventory management.
\n
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
\n
• Working as a team to hit daily targets — covering each other and communicating when it counts.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Previous experience in a warehouse picking and packing role.
\n
• Comfortable with scanners and warehouse equipment.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and organised by nature.
\n
• A good communicator who works well with others.
\n
• Flexible and reliable — including during busier periods when the team needs everyone.
\n
