\nThis is a new opportunity to join a growing business as a Business Development Manager, with full ownership of a national territory. Note: while the location listed is Manchester, this is just a placeholder the business is genuinely flexible on where you're based, and you're free to build your pipeline from anywhere in the UK, ideally somewhere close to home.
\nYou'll be selling construction labour solutions into kitchen manufacturers, main contractors, subcontractors, developers and housebuilders across the country, out meeting customers, visiting sites, cold calling, networking and building relationships with decision makers. If you're confident starting a conversation, resilient, commercially sharp and driven to win new business, this is built for you.
\nBeing part of a wider group, you'll also open doors into services like security, CCTV, fencing, Wi-Fi, solar panels and turnkey site solutions, giving you real scope to grow your earnings beyond a single offering.

\nResponsibbilities of a Business Development Manager:

- Identifying and developing new business across the construction and related sectors \n
- Generating leads through cold calling, site visits, door-knocking, networking and referrals \n
- Building relationships with contractors, developers, housebuilders and manufacturers \n
- Visiting sites and businesses to introduce the company's workforce solutions \n
- Meeting with site managers, project managers, commercial managers and directors \n
- Preparing quotations and negotiating commercial agreements to close new business \n
- Working closely with Operations to ensure smooth job coordination \n
- Managing and growing a strong sales pipeline, with accurate activity tracking \n
- Spotting opportunities to upsell across the wider service offering \n
- Working on systems such as Glenigan and Barbour ABI to help identify upcoming projects \n
- Representing the business at networking events, exhibitions and industry functions \n
Requirements of a Business Development Manager:

- Proven B2B sales or business development experience, ideally field-based \n
- Must have experience selling into the construction industry to contractors or subcontractors \n
- A confident, proactive approach to new business generation \n
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills \n
- Resilience, persistence and a genuine drive to win new business \n
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own workload independently \n
- The confidence to engage with anyone from a site manager to a company director \n
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally \n
- Good organisational skills \n
