Accounts and Audit

An established and respected accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional looking for a varied role combining audit, accounts preparation and client advisory responsibilities.

You will work with a diverse portfolio of businesses, taking ownership of assignments while developing strong client relationships and supporting junior members of the team.

The Role

• Manage accounts and audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
\n
• Prepare year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
\n
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
\n
• Carry out audit fieldwork, identify issues and ensure files are completed accurately.
\n
• Assist with corporation tax computations and other compliance requirements.
\n
• Act as a key contact for clients, providing professional support and advice.
\n
• Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance where required.
\n
• Manage workloads effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved.
\n
• Maintain strong technical knowledge and keep up to date with regulatory changes.
\n
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance client service.
\n

About You

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
\n
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential.
\n
• Strong background in both audit and accounts preparation.
\n
• Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
\n
• Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
\n
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
\n
• A proactive team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and developing others.
\n
