Job Description
Cedar is partnered with a private equity-backed infrastructure business in London to appoint an Interim Investment Analyst. This is an initial 6-month contract offering a day rate of £550-600 per day.
\n\nThe Company
\nOur client is a private equity-backed infrastructure platform with a substantial international portfolio of long-life assets. Continued investment and portfolio expansion have created the need for additional analytical capability to support valuation, forecasting and performance reporting across the business.
\n\nThis is a commercially focused environment where financial modelling plays a central role in evaluating asset performance and informing long-term investment decisions.
\n\nThe Role
\nThe Interim Investment Analyst will be responsible for monitoring the financial performance and value of a large portfolio of infrastructure assets.
\n\nYou'll develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, produce long-range forecasts and assess the impact of operational, financing and market assumptions on asset value. The role also provides exposure to refinancing activities, portfolio reviews and wider investment projects, working alongside internal decision-makers and external advisers.
\n\nKey responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining long-term financial models for a portfolio of infrastructure assets. \n
- Producing regular cash flow forecasts, valuation updates and portfolio performance reporting. \n
- Assessing the financial impact of changes in operational performance, market conditions and financing assumptions. \n
- Performing sensitivity and scenario analysis to support planning and investment decisions. \n
- Monitoring portfolio performance against business plans and identifying key drivers of value. \n
- Preparing analysis and reporting for executive leadership, shareholders, lenders and other external stakeholders. \n
- Supporting refinancing exercises, investment reviews and other strategic projects through financial modelling and commercial analysis. \n
- Liaising with external advisers, lenders and financial institutions on valuation assumptions and financial outputs. \n
- Enhancing modelling standards, reporting processes and analytical tools to improve decision-making. \n
Your Profile
\n- \n
- Advanced Excel financial modelling skills. \n
- Strong experience developing DCF, valuation and long-term forecasting models. \n
- Background in Investment Analysis, Valuations, Infrastructure Advisory, Project Finance or a similar analytical finance environment. \n
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to interpret financial performance and explain valuation movements. \n
- ACA, CFA or equivalent qualification preferred. \n
- Experience within infrastructure, utilities, transport, energy or other asset-intensive sectors would be advantageous. \n
Compensation & Working Arrangements
\nThe day rate for this Interim Investment Analyst role is £550-600 per day.
\n\nThe role is based in London with hybrid working, typically 2-3 days per week in the office. This assignment offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated financial models supporting a high-value infrastructure portfolio, with regular exposure to executive stakeholders, investors and external financial advisers.
