Role: CarpenterLocation: East London & Essex (covering areas including Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Havering and surrounding Essex locations)Salary: £37,000 - £38,325 per annum + Company Van & Fuel CardRole SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to join a well-established maintenance team carrying out reactive and planned repairs within occupied social housing properties across East London and parts of Essex.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Carpenter who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Working across a portfolio of domestic properties, you'll play an important role in ensuring residents' homes are safe, well-maintained and finished to a high standard.The role is field-based, covering East London and surrounding Essex areas, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.The RoleAs a Carpenter, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties. You'll work independently whilst being part of a supportive and established maintenance team.Typical duties will include:First and second fix carpentry worksHanging and easing internal and external doorsRepairing and replacing locks, handles and ironmongeryKitchen repairs including worktops, units and doorsInstalling and repairing skirting boards, architraves and boxing-inCarrying out repairs to windows, frames and timber fixturesGeneral maintenance and making good worksCompleting minor multi-trade tasks where requiredDiagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and safelyMaintaining excellent customer service when working in residents' homesUsing a PDA or job management system to receive and update works completedWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is reliable, customer-focused and takes pride in the quality of their work.You will have:Previous experience working as a Carpenter within social housing, maintenance or repairs environmentsStrong knowledge of first and second fix carpentryExperience carrying out repairs and maintenance works within occupied propertiesThe ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectivelyExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailA professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with residentsGood time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloadsEssential RequirementsFull UK Driving LicenceProven experience working as a Carpenter or Carpenter Multi TraderAbility to travel across East London and EssexComfortable using handheld devices or PDAsEligible to work in the UK (proof required)DBS check (or willingness to undertake one if required)Benefits£37,000 - £38,325 salary depending on experienceCompany van & fuel cardConsistent, long-term workSupportive and established maintenance teamVaried workload across residential propertiesOpportunities for training and career developmentStable, permanent position with ongoing workHoliday entitlement and company benefits packageIf you're an experienced Carpenter looking for a long-term opportunity where your skills will make a real difference to residents' homes, we'd love to hear from you.For more information or to apply, please contact Sommer on 07502 427533 .TPBN1_UKTJ
