Due to expansion our client in Somercotes is looking for Finishing Operative's (Brushing, Stenter or Sueding) to join their facility ona temp to perm basis working on a 3 Shift RotationDuties will be working as a Finishing Operative within their Brushing, Stenter or Sueding DepartmentRotating 3-shift systemDaysAfternoonsNights(Flexibility to work overtime where required.)Job PurposeWe are seeking motivated and reliable Finishing Operatives to join our textile manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating and monitoring finishing equipment, including brushing machines, stenters, and sueding machines, ensuring products are processed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate brushing, stenter, or sueding machinery safely and efficiently.Set up machines in accordance with production specifications.Monitor fabric quality throughout the finishing process.Carry out routine quality inspections and record production data as required.Identify faults, defects, or machine issues and report them promptly.Ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved.Perform basic machine housekeeping and cleaning duties.Work in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments.Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.Assist colleagues and support other departments when required.Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions.Skills & ExperienceEssentialGood attendance and punctuality record.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and quality standards.Good communication skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Willingness to work rotating shifts.Desirable not necessaryPrevious experience within textile manufacturing or finishing operations.Experience operating brushing, stenter, sueding, coating, or related textile machinery.Understanding of quality control procedures.Forklift Truck Licence (advantageous but not essential).Personal AttributesReliable and dependable.Safety-conscious.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Flexible approach to work and shift patterns.Ability to remain focused in a production environment.Proactive and willing to learn new skills.Physical RequirementsThe role involves:Standing for extended periods.Manual handling activities.Working in a manufacturing environment.Adhering to PPE requirements at all times.An initial pay rate of £14.96 is on offer to train and a payrise to £15.94 is achievable once trained, this can take between 5-12 weeks depending on the candidateApply now or call 01623 857585 for more detailsTPBN1_UKTJ
