Press Brake Setter Operator

An established manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Marlow, Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Press Brake Setter Operator to join its fabrication team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to manufacture high-quality fabricated products for the construction industry, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in line with technical drawings and quality standards.

You will be based in their workshop near Marlow, Buckinghamshire and will need to be a driver due to location. The salary for this role is £32,000 plus a very generous bonus scheme of up to an additional £5,000. You will be working Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm and finish at 3:30pm on a Friday.

Main responsibilities for the Press Brake Setter Operator are:

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery in line with work orders and engineering drawings.
\n
• Select, fit and adjust appropriate tooling for each job.
\n
• Interpret fabrication drawings, including bend sequences, angles and tolerances.
\n
• Carry out first-off and in-process quality checks using measuring equipment.
\n
• Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
\n
• Identify and report quality issues, scrap materials and non-conformances.
\n
• Follow all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and COSHH requirements.
\n
• Assist with general fabrication and workshop duties as required.
\n

Skills required for the Press Brake Setter Operator role are:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a press brake within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
\n
• Experience operating commercial fabrication machinery.
\n
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
\n
• Good understanding of bend allowances, tooling selection and material properties.
\n
• Knowledge of fabrication machinery, such as CNC saws, punches and press brakes.
\n
• Forklift licence ideally but not essential
