Accounts & Office Support Administrator

\nAre you an organised and proactive administrator with accounts experience who enjoys a varied role? We are looking for an Accounts & Office Support Administrator to join our friendly and busy team in Walton-on-Thames.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing finance administration, office management and HR support within a collaborative business environment. You will become an integral part of the team, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office while assisting with key accounting and administrative functions.
\nThe Role
\nAccounts Support
\n- \n
- Manage Sales and Purchase Ledger activities \n
- Process invoices, reconciliations, credit control and BACS payment runs \n
- Raise and monitor proforma invoices \n
- Maintain order intake logs and assist with month-end reporting \n
- Support backlog reporting and keep order records up to date \n
- Assist with month-end processes and VAT return preparation \n
- Produce and issue customer statements \n
- Liaise with customers regarding outstanding balances and account queries \n
- Reconcile credit card transactions, petty cash and expenses \n
- Update outstanding invoice schedules and support debt collection activities \n
- Follow up client retentions to ensure timely resolution \n
Office Administration & HR Support

- Support the day-to-day management of the office \n
- Maintain office supplies, equipment and facilities \n
- Act as a key point of contact for office-related enquiries \n
- Assist with HR administration, onboarding and personnel records \n
- Coordinate appraisal and performance review administration \n
- Provide general administrative support including calls, filing and archiving \n
- Assist colleagues during holiday periods to ensure business continuity \n
About You
\nWe are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can manage a varied workload effectively.
\nYou will ideally have:
\n- \n
- At least 2 years' experience in an accounts and administration role \n
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail \n
- A positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative approach \n
- Confidence managing multiple priorities simultaneously \n
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal \n
- Experience using Sage Line 50 Accounts (essential) \n
- Strong Excel skills (essential) \n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team \n
- A reasonable commuting distance to Walton-on-Thames \n
