They are now seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to join their growing team and play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations. Your new roleThis position is ideal for someone eager to strengthen their finance skills and gain hands-on experience within a busy, collaborative environment. Working alongside an experienced finance team, you will support a wide range of activities that keep the organisation running efficiently. Your day-to-day work will span month-end processes, bank reconciliations, supplier payments, and maintaining accurate financial records, while also building positive relationships across the business and with external partners.Key responsibilities

  • Invoice processing - accurately input and manage supplier invoices
  • \n
  • Purchasing compliance - ensure all purchasing procedures and internal controls are followed
  • \n
  • Supplier support - respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally
  • \n
  • Creditor management - maintain accurate creditor balances and complete monthly reconciliations
  • \n
  • Client disbursements - post monthly disbursements into the practice management system
  • \n
  • Weekly payment runs - prepare supplier payments for approval
  • \n
  • Bank transaction posting - process daily bank transactions and ensure correct allocation
  • \n
  • Client invoicing - raise invoices for digital subscriptions, tax investigation services and registered office fees
  • \n
  • Subscription administration - support accurate billing for new and departing subscribers
  • \n
  • Debt chasing - assist with credit control activity
  • \n
  • Month-end journals - support the posting of journals and month-end checks
  • \n
  • Timesheet and expense approval - ensure submissions are reviewed and approved
  • \n
  • Management accounts support - contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • \n

What you'll need to succeedWhat you'll need to succeed

  • Level 3 AAT desirable
  • \n
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role
  • \n
  • Strong analytical mindset with confident problem-solving abilities
  • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • \n
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • \n
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • \n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • \n
