We're looking for an ambitious and people-focused Shift Manager to join our manufacturing team in Ebbw Vale.

This is more than a production management role. It's an opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing shift operation, lead and develop a skilled team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and make a visible impact on business performance.

The Opportunity

As Shift Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Production Manager and wider leadership team, you'll be responsible for leading shift performance, achieving customer delivery targets, developing team capability and driving operational excellence across the factory.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading People

• Managing and motivating production teams to achieve exceptional performance

• Driving engagement, accountability and a positive working culture
\n
• Providing leadership across multiple departments during out-of-hours operations
\n

Driving Operational Performance

\n
• Delivering production plans in line with customer requirements and business targets
\n
• Monitoring performance against key operational metrics
\n
• Managing resources and priorities to ensure efficient workflow
\n
• Ensuring effective communication and handovers between shifts
\n

Championing Quality & Continuous Improvement

\n
• Maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout production
\n
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
\n
• Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality and overall performance
\n
• Driving root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
\n

Creating a Safe Environment

\n
• Promoting a strong health, safety and environmental culture
\n
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards
\n
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping and workplace organisation
\n
• Supporting a culture where everyone takes ownership of safety
\n

• The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-moving production setting

• Exposure to IATF 16949 environments
