MIG Welder - Warrington

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join our client based in Appleton Thorn, Warrington.

\n

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Metal Worker, Fabrication Welder or Welder and are looking to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment.

\n

Please note: You must have your own transport for this role due to the location of the site.

Rates of Pay:

\n
    \n
  • £16.44 per hour - Day shift
  • \n
  • £20.14 per hour - Late shift
  • \n
\n

Shift Pattern:

\n

As a MIG Welder, you will work:

\n
    \n
  • Must be able to work either day or late shift
  • \n
  • Day shift: 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 to 12:00 Friday
  • \n
  • Late shift: 16:00 to 02:30 Monday to Wednesday and 16:00 to 01:30 Thursday
  • \n

Day-to-Day Duties:

\n

Your duties as a MIG Welder are:

\n
    \n
  • Setting up components and equipment for the welding process as per job card
  • \n
  • Preparing materials and setting up jigs to ensure safe and effective assembly
  • \n
  • Interpreting specifications and drawings accurately to ensure products are within tolerance
  • \n
  • MIG welding mild and stainless steel
  • \n
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards, including 'clean as you go' practices
  • \n
  • Working with knowledge of 5S principles (advantageous but not essential)
  • \n
\n

Essential Skills:

\n

To be successful as a MIG Welder, you will need:

\n
    \n
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • \n
  • Positive attitude towards work, colleagues and management
  • \n
  • Good dexterity and strong practical skills
  • \n
  • Logical and methodical approach to tasks
  • \n
  • Computer literate and confident using IT systems within a manufacturing environment
  • \n
  • Previous experience in MIG welding
  • \n
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
  • \n

  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your employment
  • \n
\n
