Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for CNC programming, process improvement and precision machining?

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing precision engineering business that supplies complex, high-quality components to demanding industrial sectors. Working closely with Production and Quality teams, you'll play a key role in developing and optimising manufacturing processes, supporting new product introduction and driving operational excellence across the machine shop.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • \n

    Produce offline CNC programs for multi-axis milling and turning using CAM software.

  • \n
  • \n

    Develop and improve manufacturing methods to increase productivity, quality and efficiency.

  • \n
  • \n

    Create manufacturing work packs and detailed operator instructions.

  • \n
  • \n

    Support production in achieving manufacturing schedules and delivery targets.

  • \n
  • \n

    Optimise tooling, workholding and machining strategies.

  • \n
  • \n

    Manage the introduction of new components into production.

  • \n
  • \n

    Investigate manufacturing issues using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

  • \n
  • \n

    Support continuous improvement initiatives across Engineering and Quality.

  • \n
  • \n

    Coordinate machine maintenance activities to maximise equipment performance.

  • \n
  • \n

    Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and internal procedures.

  • \n
About You\n

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

    \n
  • \n

    Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a precision machining environment.

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong offline CNC programming experience using CAM software (Mastercam experience is advantageous but not essential).

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience programming multi-axis CNC milling and turning machines.

  • \n
  • \n

    Good knowledge of 3 Axis, 3+2 Axis and 5 Axis machining.

  • \n
  • \n

    The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models and customer specifications.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience using Fanuc and HAAS CNC controls.

  • \n
  • \n

    A strong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing best practice.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience machining exotic materials, ideally within highly regulated or precision engineering industries.

  • \n
  • \n

    Excellent problem-solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis.

  • \n
  • \n

    Good Microsoft Office skills.

  • \n

    SolidWorks experience.

  • \n
  • \n

    ERP/MRP system experience.

  • \n
  • \n

    HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification.
