About the role

\n

This role will be responsible for administrating the day-to-day procurement activities across the business and will act as the primary point of contact for purchasing-related enquiries from internal stakeholders and suppliers. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the postholder will support the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring that goods and services are sourced, ordered and delivered efficiently and in accordance with company policies.

As the sole procurement resource within the business, the successful candidate will play a key role in supplier management, purchasing administration, order fulfilment and procurement process improvement. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

\n

· Create and issue purchase orders, quotations and RMAs in accordance with business requirements and procurement procedures.

\n

· Manage the end-to-end purchasing process from requisition through to delivery and completion.

\n

· Liaise with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met, expediting orders where necessary and proactively resolving supply issues.

\n

· Obtain and compare supplier quotations, pricing, lead times and specifications to support purchasing decisions.

\n

· Build and maintain positive supplier relationships and act as the primary point of contact for procurement-related matters.

\n

· Respond to internal stakeholder enquiries regarding orders, deliveries, product availability and purchasing requirements.

\n

· Work closely with project teams and operational stakeholders to ensure goods and services are delivered on time and in full.

\n

· Review purchase order acknowledgements and supplier confirmations, highlighting and resolving discrepancies.

\n

· Maintain accurate supplier, product and purchasing information within company systems.

\n

· Monitor outstanding orders and provide regular updates to stakeholders on delivery status and potential risks.

\n

· Support supplier onboarding activities and maintain supplier documentation and compliance records.

\n

· Produce procurement reports and purchasing data to support business decision-making.

\n

· Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier performance and operational efficiency.

\n

· Support contract administration and ensure procurement activities are conducted in line with company policies and procedures.

About you

\n

· Experience of a busy administrative role, with excellent customer focus.

\n

· Good standard of education and qualification.

\n

· Excellent organisation skills.

\n

· Ability to work under pressure.

\n

· IT literate with MS Office skills, competent with Excel (required).

\n

· Confident communication and interpersonal skills.

\n

· Positive with a strong work ethic.

\n

· Curious, a good listener, with a desire to learn. Industry knowledge is not a necessity.

\n

· Good attention to detail.

\n

· Procurement experience (needed but not necessary)

\n

· Strong Team player who is prepared to help other areas of the business when required.

\n
