We are recruiting for a Configuration and Baseline Engineer to support a critical training capability within a major defence environment. You will help manage and optimise an F-35 training database, ensuring training data is accurate, controlled, accessible, and compliant with governance requirements. The role blends database administration, configuration management, and training systems expertise (ISD and DSAT).

Key responsibilities\n

  • Administer and maintain a Microsoft Access training database (configuration control, backups, troubleshooting)
  • \n
  • Apply Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and DSAT methodologies and produce associated artefacts
  • \n
  • Support curriculum development, evaluation, and continuous improvement
  • \n
  • Engage stakeholders and manage issues via Jira
  • \n
  • Analyse training data and produce reports to support performance improvement
  • \n
  • Carry out configuration management using tools such as Perforce / Helix Core
  • \n
Essential experience\n
    \n
  • Strong MS Office capability, including Microsoft Access
  • \n
  • Experience with Systems Approach to Training (SAT)
  • \n
  • Training assurance process experience
  • \n
  • Comfortable making decisions independently and managing competing priorities
  • \n
  • Experience working in aviation or defence training environments
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • \n
Desirable\n
    \n
  • Working knowledge of DSAT (JSP822)
  • \n
  • Familiarity with export controls and ITAR considerations
  • \n
  • Experience working with multi-contractor environments
  • \n
