Senior Accounts Assistant

We are supporting a leading UK business in the media and entertainment industry with their search for a new Senior Accounts Assistant.

Now part of a wider entertainment group, this position will allow someone to join a highly successful established business in a varied role with lots of future prospects.

As a key hire for the team, this opportunity offers an accounts professional with a solid foundation of operational finance the chance to develop their knowledge in a mixed role, before progressing to a higher level position in the near future.

Key Responsibilities of this Senior Accounts Assistant role are;

• Perform a range of regular bank reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register.
\n
• Reconcile loan accounts, ensuring interest repayments and balances are recorded.
\n
• Manage the full accounts payable process.
\n
• Prepare payments runs, reconciling statements and resolving any discrepancies.
\n
• Manage petty cash and company cards.
\n
• Review direct debits and lease schedules ensuring accuracy.
\n
• Support month-end processes, including the preparation of journals, reconciliations and supporting documents.
\n
• Support accounts receivable as required and assist the wider finance team with mixed administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department.

You

\n
• At least 3 years of accounts / finance experience.
\n
• Exposure to the media and entertainment industries in a working capacity is preferable.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Experience with Xero accounting software is advantageous.
