HGV 2 Driver

Gotpeople is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our client based in Watford and Radlett. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established, reputable company offering consistent weekday shifts.

As an HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, providing exceptional customer service throughout. This role involves multi-drop deliveries and manual handling, including unloading pallets.

• Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers
\n
• Assist with unloading pallets
\n
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
\n
• Ensure all deliveries comply with company policies and procedures
\n
• Maintain a high standard of customer service when interacting with clients
\n
• Adhere to all relevant driver hours and road safety regulations
\n

\n
• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence – applications from new licence holders are welcome
\n
• Possession of a full CPC and a digital tachograph card
\n
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (excluding DR, DD or IN endorsements)
\n
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting bulky items
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
\n
• Reliable, with the ability to work safely and adhere to delivery schedules
\n
• Must provide appropriate PPE (high-visibility clothing and safety boots)
\n

• £16.00 per hour PAYE | £18.00 per hour PAYE via Umbrella
\n
• Minimum of 8 hours guaranteed pay per shift
\n
• Monday to Friday day shifts
\n
• Free on-site parking
\n
• Driver assessment required prior to commencement
\n
