Introduction\nAcorn by Synergie is recruiting a Materials & Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and analytical planner with experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or order management to play a key role in ensuring customer demand is balanced with production capacity.
\nWorking closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, Dispatch, Quality, and Product Engineering teams, you'll manage the short-term production plan, coordinate customer orders, and help deliver products on time while maintaining accurate planning data within the ERP system.

- Manage the short-term production plan and customer order schedule within agreed planning parameters. \n
- Balance customer demand with available production capacity. \n
- Work closely with Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to review demand and confirm achievable delivery dates. \n
- Communicate production risks, delays, and schedule changes to key stakeholders. \n
- Assess capacity constraints and support bottleneck reduction and backlog management. \n
- Adjust production priorities and process daily and weekly schedule changes, including urgent orders and workload balancing. \n
- Enter and maintain customer orders accurately within the ERP system. \n
- Create and release production orders, ensuring all checks are completed before release. \n
- Monitor production shortfalls and coordinate rescheduling, lead time changes, and order closures. \n
- Respond to lead time and order enquiries via internal systems, email, and SharePoint. \n
- Prepare production documentation and escalate issues where required. \n
- Liaise with Purchasing and Dispatch regarding production and delivery commitments. \n
- Attend daily planning meetings and maintain accurate planning records and system data. \n

- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English. \n
- Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, order management, customer service, or a similar operational environment. \n
- Experience using ERP systems with accurate data entry skills. \n
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. \n
- Experience of Fourth Shift, SAP, or similar ERP systems is advantageous. \n
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills. \n
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage complex data accurately. \n
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work across multiple departments. \n
- Ability to work independently while managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. \n
