Financial Crime Analyst (4month temp initially)Edinburgh (hybrid)Start Date August 2026 Meraki Talent’s global financial services client, is actively looking for a team of Financial Crime Screening Analysts to work on a 4 month project, to help with a backlog of work. An entry-level role within the Financial Crime team, this team will be reviewing and resolving alerts generated by screening systems across a variety of different entities. The team supports the financial crime efforts of the business, and would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working within an administrative, operational or transactional capacity within a financial or professional services business, or perhaps a quantitative graduate looking for a 4 month contract to gain some experience.Responsibilities of the Financial Crime Screening Analysts:\n

• Review alerts from AML sanctions and PEP systems
\n
• Analyse information from systems and data sources to support alerts
\n
• Record investigations outcomes across screening tools
\n
• Ensure alert reviews are completed within the SLA
\n
• Escalate matches and adverse findings, particularly those that are higher-risk
\n

Background of the Financial Crime Screening Analysts:\n

• Experience working within an administrative, operational or transactional capacity within a financial or professional services business
\n
• A quantitative graduate looking for a 4 month contract to gain some experience
\n
• Strong investigation skills
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• An interest in financial crime, risk, compliance or financial services
\n
• Happy to be based in the Edinburgh office on a hybrid basic each week for the duration of the contract
