Robert Half is exclusively partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed, multi-site business to recruit an experienced Senior Management Accountant on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial information across a growing portfolio of trading subsidiaries, while supporting ongoing acquisitions and operational improvements.

PE-Backed Multi-Site Group | £255 per day PAYE | Hybrid/Remote (initial office presence in the South west required) | 3-6 Month Interim Contract

The Role

\n

Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, you will take ownership of monthly management accounting, performance reporting, forecasting support, and cost analysis across multiple entities within the group.

\n

This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical accounting skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively with operational stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Prepare monthly management accounts across all trading subsidiaries
  • \n
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
  • \n
  • Produce and distribute business intelligence (BI) reports focused on site-level performance
  • \n
  • Partner with budget holders to review cost trackers, forecasts, and spending trends
  • \n
  • Prepare flash reporting, KPIs, and performance analysis
  • \n
  • Review purchase ledger activity, ensuring accurate cost allocation across multiple entities
  • \n
  • Support the integration of newly acquired sites, including accounting systems and finance processes
  • \n
  • Assist with capital expenditure (CapEx) tracking for new site openings and acquisitions
  • \n
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects, commercial analysis, and acquisition-related finance work
  • \n

About You

\n

You will be:

\n
    \n
  • Qualified, part-qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE) - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT backgrounds considered
  • \n
  • Experienced in management accounting within a multi-site or group environment
  • \n
  • Highly proficient in Excel; exposure to SQL, Power BI, or other BI/reporting tools would be advantageous
  • \n
  • Comfortable working to tight monthly deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • \n
  • A confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across finance and operational teams
  • \n
  • Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about improving systems, processes, and reporting
  • \n

Previous experience within the care, childcare, education, or other multi-site service sectors would be beneficial, but is not essential.
