This contract position is ideal for a School Psychologist who excels in early learning environments and values flexible scheduling. You’ll work three days per week, from the start of the school year through early December, primarily focusing on evaluations and supporting Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) initiatives.

Your expertise will help guide educational strategies, ensuring that young learners receive the tailored interventions and resources they need to thrive. You’ll be part of a supportive network, contributing meaningful insights and collaborating with educators and families to promote student success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid MDE School Psychologist License required
  • Previous experience as a School Psychologist in school settings
  • Strong background in early childhood or early learning environments preferred
  • Proficient in conducting comprehensive evaluations
  • Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and intervention supports
  • Excellent communication and consultation skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Complete thorough assessments and evaluations for early learners
  • Collaborate with MTSS teams to design, implement, and monitor student interventions
  • Consult with teachers and staff to develop individualized learning strategies
  • Participate in eligibility determination and IEP meetings
  • Offer support and training on mental health and behavioral frameworks
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to district and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a resource for best practices in academic and behavioral support
