Senior Accountant or Cost Accountant

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Senior Accountant or a Cost Accountant. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment. This position will be 100% in the office full-time. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support monthly close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, variance analysis) Analyze and reconcile inventory, cost accounting, and sub-ledgers across multiple entities Partner with leadership to support global financial reporting (US GAAP + statutory requirements) Manage intercompany accounting, including foreign currency transactions across global locations Oversee fixed assets and capital expenditure tracking, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting Support tax compliance in coordination with external advisors Assist with audit processes and regulatory reporting Drive process improvements, standardization, and internal controls enhancements Support ERP initiatives and system implementations Participate in cross-functional projects, including M&A activities and corporate finance initiatives Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred 3-5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing or a product-based environment Experience with standard costing and/or inventory accounting strongly preferred Solid understanding of US GAAP; International or technical accounting exposure a plus Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude, Oracle, (ERP experience preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage competing priorities The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
