Commercial Electrician – Data Center / Mission Critical Projects

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Commercial Electricians with strong data center and mission critical project experience to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and terminating electrical systems in large-scale commercial and industrial environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced construction settings and be capable of performing conduit work, wire terminations, equipment installations, and electrical troubleshooting while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Candidates must be able to successfully complete a written and hands-on skills evaluation prior to assignment.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial and mission critical projects
\n
• Pull wire and install conduit systems including EMT and cable tray
\n
• Install panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting systems, and electrical devices
\n
• Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings
\n
• Perform conduit bending and layout work accurately
\n
• Install and terminate 120V, 277V, and higher voltage systems
\n
• Work with backup power systems including generators, UPS systems, PDUs, grounding, and bonding
\n
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components
\n
• Ensure all work complies with NEC standards, local codes, and project specifications
\n
• Coordinate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other trades
\n
• Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
\n
• Minimum 2 years of data center, mission critical, or large-scale commercial project experience preferred
\n
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical safety standards
\n
• Experience with conduit bending, wire pulling, terminations, and equipment installation
\n
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
\n
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
\n
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
\n
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
\n
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
\n

Qualifications

\n
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
\n
• NFPA 70E Certification Preferred
\n
• Previous experience on mission critical or hyperscale data center projects Preferred
\n

Pre-Employment Skills Evaluation

All candidates must complete a mandatory evaluation process prior to placement.

Evaluation Process

\n
• Candidates who successfully pass the written and hands-on evaluation will return for Day 2 onboarding and assignment
\n
• Candidates who do not pass the evaluation will have their assignment terminated
\n

• Ability to work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
\n
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various weather conditions
\n
• Must be capable of working in active construction and industrial environments
\n
