Municipal Law/Land Use Attorney
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Transactional / Municipal Law Attorney to provide legal counsel to public agencies on a wide range of municipal, land use, and regulatory matters. This role involves advising public entities, attending public meetings, and supporting complex transactional and compliance-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Advise public agencies on municipal, transactional, and land use matters.
Serve as legal counsel to planning commissions, boards, and public bodies.
Provide guidance on public agency compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, ordinances, resolutions, and related legal documents.
Attend and support planning commission, council, and board meetings as needed.
Research and analyze legal issues affecting public agencies and municipal operations.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law.
5+ years of experience representing public agencies in transactional, advisory, or municipal law matters.
Experience advising planning commissions, boards, councils, or similar public bodies.
Strong knowledge of public agency governance, land use, zoning, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to manage multiple matters and provide practical legal solutions.
Benefits:
Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 annually
