Family Medicine Physician & Medical Director - International Clinic: Center for Global Health & Heal

Our organization is a physician-led, accountable multispecialty group practice with over 650 providers, offering an exciting opportunity for a Family Practitioner (MD/DO) to join a dynamic clinic-based setting. This full-time position is located at our International Clinic, which is part of the Center for Global Health & Healing (CGHH) program. The selected candidate will take on a leadership role as Medical Director, focusing on the healthcare needs of families and individuals who have recently settled in our community through refugee resettlement and various immigration pathways.
The International Clinic is dedicated to delivering respectful, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and equitable care to all families in the Treasure Valley. We serve a diverse patient population from around the world and employ various programs to minimize barriers to care. These initiatives include home visits, collaboration with the local CARE Clinic (ObGyn), community interpreter services, and partnerships with numerous community organizations. Our providers are deeply committed to enhancing the quality and accessibility of medical services for vulnerable populations. The clinic adopts an integrative care model, working closely with interpreters, social workers, health advisors, and resettlement agencies to ensure continuity of care for these communities.
The International Clinic is conveniently situated near our regional medical center, with additional services available at this location, including Ob-Gyn, Travel Medicine, and Civil Surgeon services. This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) that combines clinical responsibilities with medical directorship. The work schedule follows a traditional clinic week, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 31 hours dedicated to patient contact. Additionally, there is a shared practice call (phone only) with other qualified members of the Family Medicine Department, currently at a ratio of approximately 1:40.
Support: Our clinic offers 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia, operates as a Level IV Trauma Center, and has an Emergency Department. On-site services include a Family Medicine clinic, along with access to community primary care and specialty clinics. Specialty physicians from our larger system also rotate in for outreach services.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency program.
- Board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) (or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment).
- Must secure Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its aspects, along with valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA.
