Job Opportunity: Academic Multiorgan Transplant Surgeon

Our organization is looking to hire an Academic Multiorgan Transplant Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Department of Surgery, Division of Transplantation. The ideal candidate will have a background in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in clinical activities focused on adult liver and kidney transplantation, emphasizing minimally invasive nephrectomy.
  • Perform general surgery procedures for transplant patients, with potential involvement in hepatobiliary surgery.
  • Contribute to undergraduate and graduate medical education.
Qualifications
  • Must be board eligible or certified in general surgery.
  • Possess a valid medical license in Illinois prior to the start date.
  • Completion of an ASTS-approved fellowship is required.
  • Must meet UNOS criteria for liver and kidney transplant surgeons; criteria for pancreas transplantation is a plus.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will be involved in clinical care, teaching, research, and university service. The salary and appointment level will align with the candidate's experience and qualifications.

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes:

  • Starting salary ranging from $159,000 to $985,945.
