Job Description

Job Description

Our organization is a physician-led multi-specialty group practice with over 600 providers, currently in search of a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist who is dedicated to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. We invite you to join our expanding neurology practice located in Boise, Idaho.

As a leading provider of advanced neurological services in the region, our neurologists care for patients facing complex conditions, neurodegenerative diseases, seizures, and various neurological disorders. The Neuroscience Institute fosters teamwork among a diverse group of specialists, including general neurosurgeons, vascular neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, vascular neurologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists, physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and radiation oncologists. Neurologists have access to diagnostic and patient care services such as EMG capabilities in both clinic and hospital settings, EEG with online interpretation, TCD, Botox injections, and specialty infusions for neurodegenerative conditions.

Our well-established outpatient neurology clinic and inpatient neuroscience program are supported by fellowship-trained Neuro Critical Care specialists in Boise. We also offer third-party tele-stroke services staffed by vascular neurologists, which will transition to inpatient neuro critical care by July 2024. Our services include stroke coordinators and an employed interventional neuroradiology team consisting of radiologists and endovascular neurosurgeons, providing both emergency and elective interventions such as biplane angiography, MRI/MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventional procedures for strokes and aneurysms.

This full-time position follows a traditional workweek from Monday to Friday, including one administrative day, with at least 32 hours dedicated to patient contact in the ambulatory clinic. There are no hospital consults or weekend rounds required. After-hours call is shared equally among neurologists and is limited to established outpatients; there is no hospital, ICU, stroke, or EEG call. Acute stroke cases are managed by the inpatient neurology team.

The qualifications for this role include:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. or candidates who qualify for H-1B sponsorship
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency training program in Neurology
  • Board certification in Neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry, or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment
  • Acquisition of Idaho medical licensure and privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary; obtaining an active Oregon Telehealth license, along with a valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA

This is an exceptional opportunity for the right Neurologist to join our organization.
