Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to become a vital part of our expanding orthopedic team. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a premier sports medicine program, including clinical pathways and partnerships with local schools, colleges, and athletic organizations.
- Manage a high volume of cases, addressing shoulder, knee, and general sports injuries, supported by a strong regional patient base and primary care integration.
- Collaborate with physical therapy, athletic trainers, primary care sports medicine, emergency medicine, anesthesia, and pain management teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a balanced work-life schedule with shared call responsibilities and robust institutional support.
- Level III Trauma Center
- Shared evening and weekend call (1:8)
- Dedicated support from Advanced Practice Providers
- Strong referral network from primary care, urgent care, and local athletic programs
- Excellent operating room access in a highly collaborative multispecialty environment
- MD or DO degree
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine
- ABOS Board Certified or Board Eligible status required
- Eligibility to obtain medical licenses in Iowa and Illinois
- Proficient in arthroscopic and open sports surgery techniques (shoulder, knee, hip optional)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Open to both recent graduates and seasoned surgeons
- Two-year guaranteed salary of $739,410, with production starting at 10,650 wRVUs
- Transition to a straight production model beginning in year three
- Potential to earn over $1 million annually
- Recruitment incentive of $100,000
- Relocation assistance up to $15,000
