Our organization is excited to present a fantastic full-time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon to join a dynamic and expanding multispecialty group practice in Ontario, Oregon.

Join a physician-led team of over 600 providers dedicated to a collaborative approach in patient care. This general surgery practice offers a wide range of surgical procedures, including endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques, all while enjoying a relaxed rural lifestyle. The practice operates from a clinic conveniently located next to the hospital. Our facility is a Level IV Trauma Center featuring 50 beds, four operating rooms, advanced endoscopy capabilities, state-of-the-art laparoscopic equipment, and exceptional clinical services. Opportunities for outreach are also available.

Support for this role includes 24/7 CRNA assistance for anesthesia, a regional network of surgical subspecialties such as surgical oncology, colorectal surgery, upper GI surgery, orthopedics, ENT, and gynecology. Additionally, local primary care and specialty clinics, medical oncology services, and hospital-based imaging services are available, including a 24/7 radiology department, in-house general radiology and CT coverage, and after-hours support for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine (NM), MRI, Breast Care Center, and X-ray (DR image capture), along with emergency department services.

The work schedule consists of a traditional week from Monday to Friday, requiring a minimum of 32 hours of patient interaction, which encompasses clinic visits, procedures, and consultations. The call schedule averages ten days per month, including at least one weekend at our facility. There are incentives available for taking additional call shifts.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA general surgery residency program
  • Board certification from the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS) - or the ability to obtain certification within seven years of employment
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Oregon and Idaho, along with privileges at our facility and other affiliated hospitals as necessary
  • Current controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA
  • Interest in a comprehensive general surgery and endoscopy practice
