Our organization in Syracuse, New York, is excited to introduce the launch of a new hospital-based Orthopedic Surgery Program. We are currently in search of a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with a specialization in Hand Surgery to join our expanding team. This presents a unique opportunity to become a foundational member of a newly formed orthopedic group, allowing you to influence the program from the very beginning!

Position Highlights:

  • Hospital-employed position

  • Work from a single hospital campus and affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
  • Surgical Physician Assistant support to enhance efficiency and patient care
  • Strong internal referral network from primary care, emergency medicine, and various surgical specialties
  • Manageable call schedule with options for dedicated hand call or shared orthopedic call based on the structure
  • High volume of elective and urgent hand cases, including fractures, tendon injuries, nerve repairs, and microvascular surgeries
  • Reserved block time in advanced operating rooms designed for complex hand and upper extremity procedures

Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Hand Surgery
  • Eligibility for a New York State medical license
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!

Recruitment Package:

  • Compensation: Base salary ranging from $630,000 to $760,000
  • The stated salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, additional shift bonuses, and other forms of cash compensation relevant to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits provided by their medical group employer. Please be aware that this salary range is in accordance with state regulations and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
  • $50,000 Signing Bonus
  • Up to $25,000 for Relocation Assistance
