Job Description
Our organization is actively seeking Gastroenterology Physicians to join a Hospitalist Model for our new service at St. Joseph's Health located in Syracuse, NY.
Position Highlights:Function as a GI Hospitalist, delivering inpatient consultations and conducting procedures.
Engage with a comprehensive health system that is part of a major multi-institutional Catholic healthcare network.
Work within a 7 on-7 off schedule.
Administration is highly supportive of the growth and vision of the GI department.
Access to a vast network of primary care and specialty physicians.
Current call responsibilities are limited to one weekend per month, with affiliated groups covering evenings and weekends.
The average hospital inpatient volume is between 15-20 patients, with 3-7 new consultations daily.
Opportunities for resident education and clinical research are available.
We aim to develop and enhance expertise in the following areas:
Advanced Endoscopy, including EUS with therapeutics, Advanced ERCP techniques, EMR/ESD, and enteroscopy.
Inflammatory bowel disease.
Hepatology (non-transplant).
Esophageal and rectal manometry.

The stated salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, and other forms of cash compensation relevant to the role. Additionally, providers generally receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in compliance with state law and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
CME time along with an annual expense allowance of $4,500.
