Job Description
Our organization is excited to present a fantastic full-time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon with specialized Fellowship training in Breast Surgery. This position is based in the vibrant city of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is part of a growing medical team.
This practice is closely integrated with our Southeast Michigan Oncology Program, which holds accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and is recognized as an Integrated Network Cancer Program by the Commission on Cancer. Additionally, our oncology program leads the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium (MCRC-NCORP), a distinguished clinical trial initiative comprising medical centers that adhere to the highest standards in cancer research. The consortium includes thirteen hospitals across Michigan, along with several out-of-state facilities, collectively enrolling hundreds of patients in clinical trials annually. MCRC-NCORP features a dedicated team of over 100 medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, and other specialists committed to providing outstanding cancer care. This program is one of 46 research initiatives established by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
The breast care program offers a comprehensive range of services, from initial screenings and diagnostic evaluations to surgical interventions and post-operative care, available at our locations in Livingston, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties.
Our services encompass:
- Weekly Breast Tumor Conference and Multidisciplinary Clinic
- Nurse Navigation
- Assessment and treatment for various benign breast conditions, including breast pain, nipple discharge, and cysts
- Breast cancer risk evaluation and counseling
- Access to advanced screening, detection, and diagnostic technologies through our radiology services
- Genetic testing and counseling
- A specialized clinic for high-risk benign breast diseases, offering dedicated long-term care and follow-up
Ideal candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and have successfully completed a Breast Surgery Fellowship program.
