This full-time contract position offers the unique opportunity to work directly within a school community near Virginia Beach, VA, guiding students’ emotional, behavioral, and academic growth. The assignment runs from as soon as possible through the end of June 2027, making it ideal for professionals seeking both short-term results and long-term impact.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid School Psychologist certification in Virginia (or eligibility for licensure)
• Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field required
• Experience in a K-12 school environment highly preferred
• Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
• Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting test data
• Solid understanding of Special Education laws, Response to Intervention (RTI), and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and interventions to students regarding academic, social, and emotional concerns
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to assist in special education eligibility decisions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents, participating in multidisciplinary teams
• Assist in the development, monitoring, and evaluation of students’ IEPs
• Offer crisis intervention and consult with staff on effective behavioral and instructional strategies
• Promote positive mental health and prevent bullying through school-wide programs and initiatives
