Orthopedic Surgery - Foot & Ankle Opportunity

Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group with over 500 providers, actively seeking a residency-trained Orthopedic Surgeon to become part of a thriving surgical practice.

This role necessitates a proactive mindset towards developing practices for the residents of Idaho and surrounding states. A significant focus of this position is to enhance the understanding of foot and ankle orthopedics through research and educational initiatives. The expanding practice offers a comprehensive array of orthopedic services, particularly centered on foot and ankle care. Whether it involves total joint replacements or assisting athletes in their recovery to return to sports, the primary emphasis remains on patient care. Candidates must possess medical licenses for Idaho and Oregon to meet the regional surgical demands and programs across the communities we serve.

Support services include:

• 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia
• General surgery, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, urology, and endoscopy
• Hospital-based imaging services with a 24/7 radiology department
• In-house coverage for general radiology and CT
• After-hours call coverage for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine (NM)
• MRI, Breast Care Center, and X-ray (CR and DR image capture)
• Emergency Department support
• Access to our network of Specialty and Primary Care clinics

The work schedule for this position follows a standard clinic format, Monday through Friday, requiring a minimum of 32 patient contact hours weekly, in addition to procedures, rounding, and consultations.

This role will be divided between our clinics in Boise and Nampa, primarily focusing on general orthopedic call in Nampa, which operates on a 1:5 rotation.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Successful completion of an ACGME or CanERA accredited orthopedic residency program
• Board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) - or eligibility to obtain within three years
• Active membership in the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society
• Ability to secure medical licenses in Idaho and Oregon, along with privileges at SARMC and other affiliated hospitals as necessary
• Valid registration for controlled substances with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA
• Willingness to participate in general orthopedic call
