Kforce's client in Saint Louis, MO is looking for a Tax Accountant. Summary: The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparation of various federal, state and local tax returns, preparing the financial statements and related tax filings, preparing property tax returns which includes assisting with audits of taxing jurisdictions and research related to audit inquires. Responsibilities include: Timely and accurate preparation of state, local, and property tax returns including assisting with audits of taxing jurisdictions and research related to any audit inquiries Timely and accurate preparation of federal, state and international income tax returns Prepare account reconciliations for non-income tax accounts within the responsibility of the Tax Department Work with the Tax Manager to prepare and file estimated taxes and extension tax calculations Timely and correct preparation of other miscellaneous federal and state and local filings Manage the filings from the Company's tax calendar and keep current the Company's tax calendar Prepare the Company's Foundation financial statements including recording monthly journal entries and tracking of revenues and donations; Work with outside auditors to complete the audit of the financial statements and prepare the Foundation's required tax filings Assist with various other projects in the department Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA eligible and a minimum of one year of directly related tax preparation work experience in either public accounting or a publicly traded company is required; A Master's degree and CPA along with 3-5 years of related work experience is preferred Proficiency in Excel and business tax software is required; experience in OneSource is preferred Strong analytical skills as well as planning and organizational skills are required Demonstrated ability to be self-disciplined and to be reliable and dependable Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
