General Surgeon Opportunity

Our organization is on the lookout for a General Surgeon to become part of our esteemed surgical team in Mason City, IA. This vibrant, high-volume practice is equipped with advanced technology and provides a comprehensive range of surgical services.

Opportunity Highlights
  • Collaborate with a team consisting of 3 General Surgeons, 1 Acute/Trauma General Surgeon, and 2 Physician Assistants.
  • Engage in a hybrid model that combines General and Acute Trauma Surgery, featuring both elective procedures and trauma care.
  • Perform a full range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic, open, and robotic surgeries, as well as endoscopy, rounding, and consultations in the clinic and emergency department.
  • Enjoy dedicated block operating room time.
  • Utilize 2 DaVinci XI Robots for advanced surgical techniques.
  • Participate in on-call duties approximately 7-8 days per month.
  • Work with an Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC.
Benefits & Incentives
  • Receive a guaranteed base salary of $462,000 per year for the first two years, with production-based compensation starting in year three.

Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible; must achieve board certification within three years of eligibility.
  • H1B and J1 visa candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • All offers are subject to successful completion of references, background checks, pre-employment physicals, and drug screenings.
  • A degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school is required.
  • Completion of a relevant residency program demonstrating competency as a physician.
  • Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at our facility.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential.
  • Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
