We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at Blue Origin – Cape Canaveral, FL.The ideal candidate will oil and gas experience. Pulling Wire, and wiring electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, high voltage systems ( MC - 660 ) and the ability to work with various hand tools. The Industrial Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical components function efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

    \n
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in large-scale commercial and data center projects
  • \n
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • \n
  • Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, panel installations, switchgear, and cable tray installations
  • \n
  • Ensure systems are installed per NEC, local codes, and customer specifications
  • \n
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades on-site
  • \n
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE standards
  • \n
  • Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure performance and compliance
  • \n
  • Work with backup power systems (UPS/generators), grounding systems, and power distribution units (PDUs)
  • \n
\n

Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License is a plus
  • \n
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy commercial electrical work
  • \n
  • At least 2 years of experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure projects
  • \n
  • Deep understanding of NEC, electrical standards, and safety regulations
  • \n
  • Experience with low, medium, and high voltage systems, grounding, and bonding
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • \n
  • Ability to read and work from construction drawings and schematics
  • \n
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • \n
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • \n
  • Legal eligibility (ITAR / export control)
  • \n
\n

Blue Origin work falls under U.S. export control laws (especially ITAR).

  • U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card)
  • \n
  • Refugee or asylee authorized to work
  • \n
  • Or obtain export authorization from the State Department
  • \n
  • Government background check / facility access
  • \n

Background investigation

  • Background check for access to Cape Canaveral facilities
  • \n
  • Some positions require security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) depending on mission sensitivity
  • \n
\n

Drug testing

    \n
  • Pre-employment and random testing may be required for some roles
  • \n
\n

Security vetting

\n
    \n
  • Investigation results must be favorable before you can work onsite.
  • \n
\n

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • OSHA 10/30 Certification
  • \n
  • NFPA 70E training
  • \n
  • Familiarity with BMS and building automation systems
  • \n
  • Experience with fiber optics and structured cabling systems
  • \n
