Hospital Medicine - Per Diem - Physician - Syracuse, NY

Our organization is in search of a board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for a per-diem Hospitalist role at our facility in Syracuse, New York. • Availability for 12-hour shifts; options include 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am (weekday and weekend shifts are available)
• Deliver professional medical services to an average daily patient load of 16-18 per Provider, with a closed ICU
• Conduct daily rounds for all patients enrolled in the Hospitalist Program
• Coordinate necessary follow-up care upon patient discharge from the hospital
• Perform history and physical examinations, with documentation in our EPIC EMR system
• Collaborate with other consultants and Intensivists to effectively manage medical crises or changes in patients' conditions, ensuring timely communication with relevant parties
• Engage with a well-established medical center that offers extensive subspecialty support

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active medical license in the state of New York
• Previous experience as a Hospitalist is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to excel in a dynamic hospital setting

• Compensation ranges from $180 to $210 per hour (dependent on shift hours, holiday coverage, etc.)
• The stated salary reflects the initial range of total compensation and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, and other forms of cash compensation applicable to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with state law and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
