Locum Tenens PA - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Position in California

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3 PM, with occasional shifts extending to 6 PM

Position Details

• Approximately 1,100 surgical cases per year
• Work in a hospital environment: 70% inpatient operating room first assist, 30% on the floor/ICU, with no clinic responsibilities
• First assist in all surgical cases, including CABG, standard valve procedures, heart transplants, and VADs
• Involvement in thoracoscopic MAZE procedures, dissections, and some thoracic surgeries (no esophageal or robotic work)
• Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) is required; experience with endoscopic radial harvesting is a significant advantage
• Weekend surgical call rotation: 1 in 4 to 1 in 6; weeknight call approximately once per week
• This is an ongoing long-term need, and we are actively seeking qualified candidates

Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $105.00 to $138.00. These figures are estimates and may vary based on several factors, including the urgency of the position, your experience and qualifications, and other considerations. The rates provided are all-inclusive, combining base pay with potential earnings from overtime, call, and holiday work. For specific details, please consult your recruiter.
