Job Description
Make an immediate impact as an onsite School Psychologist in a dynamic school environment located near Hampton, VA. This full-time contract opportunity runs from now through the end of June 2027, providing plenty of time to build meaningful relationships and make a positive difference in the lives of students, staff, and families.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current School Psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Excellent skills in conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and collaborating with educators
- Strong interpersonal abilities, including communication with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support
- Passion for advocating for diverse learners and fostering inclusive educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students
- Develop and implement intervention and support strategies in collaboration with educators
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to 504/RTI plans
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis support to students as needed
- Serve as a resource for teachers and families regarding learning, behavior, and mental health concerns
- Help create a positive and supportive learning atmosphere and address barriers to student success
