Job Description

This full-time, contract role for the new school year allows you to work closely with school communities, using your expertise to foster students’ academic and emotional success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Previous experience within school environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment methods and psychoeducational evaluations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and educational staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights to develop educational interventions
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and outside professionals to design and implement individualized strategies
- Support school-wide initiatives for mental health and positive behavior reinforcement
- Maintain accurate and thorough records according to district and state guidelines
