Position Summary

Our client is seeking an Employment Law Attorney with 5-10+ years of plaintiff-side employment litigation experience to join its growing team. This is a fully onsite position. The ideal candidate will have experience independently managing employment cases through all phases of litigation and possess strong research, writing, advocacy, and client-management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage plaintiff-side employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.

  • Conduct factual investigations and legal research.

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

  • Propound and respond to written discovery.

  • Take and defend depositions.

  • Prepare for and attend mediations, settlement conferences, and court hearings.

  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses.

  • Develop case strategy and evaluate claims and damages.

  • Participate in trial preparation and actively assist with trial proceedings.

  • Maintain litigation calendars and ensure compliance with all court deadlines.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to effectively prosecute cases.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.

  • 5-6 years of plaintiff-side employment litigation experience required.

  • Experience handling matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, FEHA claims, wage and hour disputes, and related employment law issues.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Experience independently managing discovery, depositions, motions, and client communications.

  • Trial experience or significant trial preparation experience is highly preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
