Job Description
Our organization is in search of a board-certified or board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist who has completed a fellowship to join our expanding clinic. As a key member of Iowa's premier community-based Advanced Heart Failure Program, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of specialists to provide cutting-edge therapies and foster innovation in heart failure management throughout the state.
Opportunity Highlights
Become part of a team consisting of 4 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider.
Manage an average of 13-17 patients daily in the clinic.
Participate in on-call duties on a 1:4 week rotation.
Utilize the recently approved Barostim procedure.
Engage in implantable fluid monitoring, LVAD management, echocardiogram interpretation, nuclear medicine, and various cardiac imaging/testing.
Each provider will have access to two examination rooms.
Opportunity for shared outreach clinics once a month.
Serve a tertiary service area with a population of 1.5 million.

Base salary set at $624,834.
A recruitment incentive of $75,000.

Our Heart Center was established in 1970 and has grown to be one of the largest cardiovascular practices in the United States. Recognized as one of the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals by Fortune/IBM Health, our center comprises 44 physicians and provides a wide range of services, including General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Preventative Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. We also have an accredited Cardiology Fellowship program with 8 fellows, operate 8 primary office locations, and serve over 15 outreach facilities across Iowa. Our active clinic research department participates in major STS registries and conducts more than 10,000 cardiac interventions annually.
