Bechtel's Renewables & Clean Power business line is hiring for a large-scale power generation project in Pecos, TX. The project is being developed to support growing energy demand driven by data centers, AI, and digital technologies, with Bechtel leading early development activities ahead of full EPC execution.

Pay Range: $32.50 - $37.00

  • Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials, using pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.

  • Shapes materials to prescribed measurements, using skill saws, table saws, band saws, etc.

  • Assembles cut and shaped materials by fastening them together with nails or screws.
  • \n
  • Verifies the trueness of a structure using a plumb bob and carpenters level.
  • \n
  • Erects shoring and installs plywood decking.
  • \n
  • Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
  • \n
  • Unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • \n
  • Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
  • \n
  • Cleans tools and equipment.
  • \n
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • \n
  • Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
  • \n
  • Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work above/below ground as necessary. Must have experience working at heights and a functional knowledge of proper use of fall protection equipment.
  • \n
  • Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
  • \n
  • Safely operates power tools and equipment.
  • \n
  • Must be able to climb rebar walls and cages and work at heights.
  • \n
  • Typically requires 48 months of industrial construction experience.
  • \n

Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Reads and understands blueprints.
  • \n
  • Assists in modifying or planning new installations to minimize waste of materials and provide access for future maintenance.
  • \n
  • Prepares sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before the completion of future ceilings, and floorings.
  • \n
  • Works around hazardous wiring.
  • \n
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit using rulers, hand tools, power tools.
  • \n
  • Splices wires using hand tools, soldering equipment, tape or terminal gaps.
  • \n
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools.
  • \n
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
  • \n
  • Unwinds and pulls cable.
  • \n
  • Connects power cable to equipment using hand tools.
  • \n
  • Tests the installed equipment for safety and electrical compatibility.
  • \n
  • Disassembles defective electrical equipment.
  • \n
  • May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
  • \n
  • Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
  • \n
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • \n
  • Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
