Interventional Radiology Opportunity

Trinity Health
Hidden Springs, ID, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description

Our organization is a multispecialty group practice with over 650 providers, currently seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Radiologist to join our newly formed Interventional Radiology specialty team, primarily located in Boise, Idaho. We are recognized as the leading provider of advanced and innovative interventional services and serve as the sole Regional Level II Trauma Center at our facility.

This position entails a traditional workweek schedule, including on-call duties and hospital responsibilities that may extend to evenings and weekends. Responsibilities will encompass clinic duties, interventional radiology tasks, and shared on-call duties with fellow members of the Interventional Radiology Department.

As the regional leader in advanced interventional radiology, our Interventional Radiologists will collaborate with other specialists and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to deliver care for patients facing complex medical conditions. This will involve utilizing advanced imaging techniques alongside minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat a diverse range of diseases.

Our well-established interventional radiology service features advanced technologies such as biplane angiography, MRI MRA, CT/CTA, and CT perfusion. Interventional Radiologists will have the opportunity to perform various procedures, including embolization, thrombectomy, venous access, TIPS, aortic dissection management, peripheral arterial disease treatment, biopsies, ablations, stent placements, and more, depending on their training and community needs.

The primary work location for Interventional Radiologists will be at our Regional Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center. Weekday procedures are also conducted at our Medical Center in Nampa, with limited responsibilities at our facilities in Ontario and Baker City, Oregon.

When fully staffed, our Interventional Radiology team consists of four Interventional Radiologists and five Advanced Practice Providers who are trained to support the practice. Hospital call responsibilities are shared between Radiologists and APPs to reduce the call burden and ensure adequate after-hours support. The primary call location is in Boise at the Regional Medical Center, with Radiologists covering weeknight and weekend interventional calls, while APPs provide weekend day support in Boise and Nampa for non-invasive interventional radiology needs.
