Job Summary
We are seeking an Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Milwaukee, WI. This full-time, exempt role supports a stable manufacturing environment focused on custom fabrication projects for industrial and commercial customers.
The Estimator will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates by reviewing drawings, specifications, labor needs, material costs, equipment requirements, and vendor pricing. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented estimating professional who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with sales and operations, and helping projects move smoothly from bid to execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete and accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates using estimating software and internal costing tools.
- Partner with sales, operations, vendors, subcontractors, and project management to clarify scope, pricing, timelines, and bid strategy.
- Maintain bid documentation, communicate estimating status, and support smooth project turnover after award.
- Compare estimated costs to actual project costs and recommend improvements to estimating processes and procedures.
- Assist with project forecasting, cost analysis, and ongoing estimating record maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $65,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience.
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt.
