Your Role and Responsibilities\n

As our SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing the school’s special educational needs (SEN) policy.
\n
• Designing and delivering interventions to bridge attainment gaps.
\n
• Monitoring pupil progress in line with their EHCPs.
\n
• Coordinating annual reviews and acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
\n
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support individual learning plans.
\n
• Leading intervention groups and evaluating their effectiveness.
\n

What We’re Looking For\n

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

\n

\n
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
\n
• The National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to complete the NPQ for SENCOs.
\n
• Experience in school self-evaluation and development planning.
\n
• A background in teaching within an autism/SEMH school.
\n
• Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and a commitment to professional development.
\n
