Health and Safety OfficerLocation: North LanarkshireSalary: £40,000 per annumContract: Full time, PermanentWe have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to join our Health and Safety team based in Eurocentral.The primary function of this role is to be the internal contact for all health and safety related matters.Supporting the Health and Safety Manager to develop and deliver a proactive health and safety service and providing competent technical and legal advice to all staff in a multi-site organisation and will be responsible for developing and maintaining safety management systems.Providing advice, guidance, assistance and support to all areas of the organisation in the delivery of:Health and Safety PolicyHealth and Safety procedures and Safe systems of workCompliance with health and safety legislationConducting Audits, Investigations and Premises visitsRisk AssessmentTrainingThe successful candidate will be an experienced Health and Safety Officer or equivalent with experience in a range of activities including audit, investigation and able to contribute to strategy and policy development. You will also hold a NEBOSH Diploma, relevant Degree or equivalent.A full drivers licence and access to your own car is essential as there is travel involved in this role.About You - Key Experience:Experience within a Health and Safety Officer/Advisor role (essential)Experience in the social care sector & housing/facilities (desirable)Experience of developing, reviewing, implementing and monitoring safe systems of workExperience in providing health and safety advice with a knowledge and understanding of health and safety management techniquesA demonstrable track record of delivering improved standards of safetyExperience of conducting audits, investigations across a range of work activitiesExperience and knowledge of Fire Risk AssessmentsExperience in designing and delivering H&S trainingAbilities, Skills and Knowledge NEBOSH Diploma or equivalentKnowledge of current health and safety legislationUp to date professional knowledge through CPDProficient in IT systemsFull driving licence with access to a vehicle for business purposesFoster and maintain positive and productive internal and external relationships.Able to develop Health & Safety strategy and policy.Able to develop and deliver training materials.Able to produce statistical information & undertake analysis and associated reports.This role will involve travel and remote working.All applicants must have Right to Work in the UK.About UsAt Enable we're passionate about developing all our staff and provide an extensive training programme, combined with a commitment to create career development opportunities.We also have an excellent range of staff benefits on offer including but not limited to:Health cash plans providing a wide range of health benefits to help people cover the cost of their everyday health care.Employee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to Work Scheme*Season Ticket Loans*Remember, this is an exciting opportunity to join a group which is shaking up the social care sector in Scotland and making a real difference to people's lives.
